Auction result well in line with expectations
The work UDO (5 drawings) # 14 by Matt Saunders was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2009. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,667.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matt Saunders - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Borneo Fold (Rose Hobart) #10, Version 1, which sold at auction in June 2021 for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,380.82).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.667,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Matt Saunders mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Borneo Fold (Rose Hobart) #10, Version 1 beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.380,82) versteigert wurde.
