Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matt Saunders could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the On Paper | Online auction, the work Hertha Thiele (Don Juan) changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,098.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matt Saunders have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Borneo Fold (Rose Hobart) #10, Version 1 in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,380.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matt Saunders konnte im Februar 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion On Paper | Online wechselte die Arbeit Hertha Thiele (Don Juan) für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.098,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00.
