In December 2020 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Ohne Titel by Matt Mullican. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,120.00 (€ 16,890.39), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matt Mullican - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2005 for USD 45,600.00 (€ 37,817.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ohne Titel von Matt Mullican zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 16.890,39) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Matt Mullican mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2005 für USD 45.600,00 (€ 37.817,22) versteigert wurde.
