Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Fictional Details) by Matt Mullican was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,580.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matt Mullican have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 37,817.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Fictional Details) von Matt Mullican kam im März 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.580,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matt Mullican auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 37.817,22).
