Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: (i) Antonius, a horse belonging to his grace the Duke of Grafton; (ii) The Marquess of Rockingham's scrub with John Singleton Up by Mat Collishaw was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in February 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,346.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mat Collishaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Leda and the Swan in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,311.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two works: (i) Antonius, a horse belonging to his grace the Duke of Grafton; (ii) The Marquess of Rockingham's scrub with John Singleton Up von Mat Collishaw wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.346,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mat Collishaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Leda and the Swan im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.311,72).
