Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Last Meal on Death Row 'Charles Frances Rumbaugh' by Mat Collishaw was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. The price achieved of USD 3,810.00 (€ 3,605.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mat Collishaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Leda and the Swan in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,311.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Last Meal on Death Row 'Charles Frances Rumbaugh' von Mat Collishaw kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.810,00 (€ 3.605,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mat Collishaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Leda and the Swan im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.311,72).
