Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work A Box Of Ku by Masao Yamamoto for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,752.59). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Masao Yamamoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nakazora, which sold at auction in April 2017 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,651.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Box Of Ku von Masao Yamamoto für USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.752,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Masao Yamamoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nakazora beobachtet, die im April 2017 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.651,68) versteigert wurde.
