Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Varick St. by Mary Weatherford. It changed hands for a price of GBP 344,750.00 (€ 388,771.64) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Other works by Mary Weatherford have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September last year the work Coney Island was auctioned for USD 478,800.00 (€ 489,420.42).

Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Varick St. von Mary Weatherford zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 344.750,00 (€ 388.771,64) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Mary Weatherford konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September letzten Jahres die Arbeit Coney Island für USD 478.800,00 (€ 489.420,42) versteigert.
