In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work This Was The House by Marvin Dorwart Cone for USD 81,250.00 (€ 71,756.60). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marvin Dorwart Cone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stone City Landscape in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 752,500.00 (€ 578,401.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit This Was The House von Marvin Dorwart Cone für USD 81.250,00 (€ 71.756,60) erwerben.
