This work without title by Martin Disler was worth USD 47,880.00 (€ 46,381.87) to a buyer in November last year. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Disler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Preparing for Tonight, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 176,400.00 (€ 164,383.56).
