Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Work No. 389. by Martin Creed was sold in the From a Universal Collector – The Olbricht Collection | Being Human auction at VAN HAM in June last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 22,440.00. Admittedly, works by Martin Creed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 118,869.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Work No. 389. von Martin Creed wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion From a Universal Collector – The Olbricht Collection | Being Human bei VAN HAM versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 22.440,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Creed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 118.869,06).
