Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work El Viento by Martín Chirino was worth EUR 157,000.00 to a buyer in October 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Spanish Art at the Westin Palace Hotel at Christies in Madrid and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 35,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Martín Chirino; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot El Viento sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of EUR 226,800.00.

Die Arbeit El Viento von Martín Chirino war einem Käufer im Oktober 2008 EUR 157.000,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Spanish Art at the Westin Palace Hotel bei Christies in Madrid erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 35.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
