Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Fotogramm, "Hommage à DeFalla" (Ballettmusik) by Marta Hoepffner for USD 1,410.00 (€ 1,661.56). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs, including Property from the Collection of at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marta Hoepffner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selbstbildnis (Solarisation), 1938 in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,688.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fotogramm, "Hommage à DeFalla" (Ballettmusik) von Marta Hoepffner für USD 1.410,00 (€ 1.661,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs, including Property from the Collection of bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marta Hoepffner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selbstbildnis (Solarisation), 1938 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.688,03).
