Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Insomnia by Mark Kostabi was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2014. The price achieved of EUR 5,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Kostabi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Accumulation in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 28,800.00 (€ 21,301.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Insomnia von Mark Kostabi wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Kostabi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Accumulation im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.800,00 (€ 21.301,78).
