Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Lady with a Sponge by Mark Flood. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 10,729.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Flood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Star Channel in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 209,000.00 (€ 153,225.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady with a Sponge von Mark Flood zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 10.729,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Flood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Star Channel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 209.000,00 (€ 153.225,81).
