Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chariot Burial by Mark Flood was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction at Phillips in March this year. The price achieved of USD 8,255.00 (€ 7,592.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Flood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Star Channel in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 209,000.00 (€ 153,225.81).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.255,00 (€ 7.592,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Flood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Star Channel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 209.000,00 (€ 153.225,81).
