Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2012 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Costume: Bird Watcher by Mark Dion. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,320.01). Other works by Mark Dion have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,175.32) in March 2018 for the work Babel.

Im September 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Costume: Bird Watcher von Mark Dion zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.320,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Mark Dion haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.175,32) im März 2018 für die Arbeit Babel beobachtet.
