Incised signature, stamped, dated and numbered 16/50 on one piece, additionally each component stamped 16 (there were also 4 artist's copies), published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles (with their stamped marks).

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rising (for Walt Whitman) (G. 934) by Mark di Suvero was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,271.70). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark di Suvero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tumbleweed II (Joint) in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 548,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rising (for Walt Whitman) (G. 934) von Mark di Suvero wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.271,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark di Suvero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tumbleweed II (Joint) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 548.000,00.
