Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Mark Boyle for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,195.39). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Boyle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sandstone Study with Bricks and working Glove, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 10,904.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mark Boyle für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.195,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Boyle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sandstone Study with Bricks and working Glove beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 10.904,75) versteigert wurde.
