Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Black Magic by Mark Boyle. The price achieved of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,879.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Mark Boyle have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2002 the work Sandstone Study with Bricks and working Glove was auctioned for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 10,904.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Magic von Mark Boyle zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.879,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Mark Boyle konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2002 die Arbeit Sandstone Study with Bricks and working Glove für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 10.904,75) versteigert.
