Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Marilyn Levine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2011. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Work Boots sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,220.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marilyn Levine; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Boots #5, Buff sold at auction in December 2018 with the realized price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,458.10).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marilyn Levine erzielte im März 2011 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Work Boots für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.220,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marilyn Levine; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Boots #5, Buff im Dezember 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.458,10).
