Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Marilyn Levine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work Zipperbag with Pockets, 1975 sold for USD 12,750.00 (€ 11,548.91) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marilyn Levine; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Boots #5, Buff sold at auction in December 2018 with the realized price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,458.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marilyn Levine erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Zipperbag with Pockets, 1975 für USD 12.750,00 (€ 11.548,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marilyn Levine; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Boots #5, Buff im Dezember 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.458,10).
