Sold at the lower estimate price
In November this year Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Maria Lai. The result of EUR 15,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maria Lai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lenzuolo (Bed Sheet) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November diesen Jahres führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Maria Lai zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maria Lai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lenzuolo (Bed Sheet) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.153,72).
