Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Art | Milan, which included the work I Luoghi Invisibili by Maria Lai. The price achieved of EUR 63,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maria Lai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lenzuolo (Bed Sheet), which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
