Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Duemila Natali di guerra by Maria Lai was sold in the 20th/21st Century Milan Evening Sale auction at Christies in Milan in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maria Lai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lenzuolo (Bed Sheet) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Duemila Natali di guerra von Maria Lai wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Evening Sale bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 40.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maria Lai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lenzuolo (Bed Sheet) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.153,72).
