Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maria Lai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in April 2019. In the Thinking Italian Milan auction, the work Autobiografia sold for EUR 32,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maria Lai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lenzuolo (Bed Sheet) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maria Lai erzielte im April 2019 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Thinking Italian Milan wurde die Arbeit Autobiografia für EUR 32.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maria Lai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lenzuolo (Bed Sheet) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.153,72).
