Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marcus Brutus could be acquired at Phillips in New York in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Confined to Angola changed hands for USD 6,350.00 (€ 5,999.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcus Brutus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pannonica in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 302,400.00 (€ 33,637.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marcus Brutus konnte im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Confined to Angola für USD 6.350,00 (€ 5.999,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcus Brutus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pannonica im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 302.400,00 (€ 33.637,81).
