Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art, which included the work The Rain-Maker by Marcelo Bonevardi. Here, the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 21,302.78). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcelo Bonevardi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Habitat, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 62,400.00 (€ 46,153.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Rain-Maker von Marcelo Bonevardi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 21.302,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcelo Bonevardi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Habitat beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 62.400,00 (€ 46.153,85) versteigert wurde.
