Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Four Astrological Prints by Marcelo Bonevardi was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 255.00 (€ 239.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcelo Bonevardi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Habitat in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 62,400.00 (€ 46,153.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Four Astrological Prints von Marcelo Bonevardi im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 255,00 (€ 239,35) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcelo Bonevardi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Habitat im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.400,00 (€ 46.153,85).
