Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Private Calendar by Marcelo Bonevardi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2014. The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,328.45), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcelo Bonevardi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Habitat, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 62,400.00 (€ 46,153.85).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Private Calendar von Marcelo Bonevardi kam im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.328,45) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcelo Bonevardi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Habitat beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 62.400,00 (€ 46.153,85) versteigert wurde.
