Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Figure by Marcelo Bonevardi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,066.00). Admittedly, works by Marcelo Bonevardi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blue Habitat in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 62,400.00 (€ 46,153.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Figure von Marcelo Bonevardi im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.066,00) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcelo Bonevardi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blue Habitat im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.400,00 (€ 46.153,85).
