Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Heatwave, which included the work Yellow by Marcello Lo Giudice. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,971.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcello Lo Giudice achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange - Yellow Sun in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Heatwave durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yellow von Marcello Lo Giudice zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.971,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcello Lo Giudice erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orange - Yellow Sun im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
