The work Orange by Marcello Lo Giudice was sold in the Contemporary Discoveries auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. It achieved a price of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,645.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Marcello Lo Giudice have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orange - Yellow Sun in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Orange von Marcello Lo Giudice wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.645,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcello Lo Giudice auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orange - Yellow Sun im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
