Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stranger Iii by Marc Vaux was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,151.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Marc Vaux have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2015 the work without title was auctioned for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,492.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stranger Iii von Marc Vaux kam im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.151,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Marc Vaux konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2015 die Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.492,88) versteigert.
