Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work An Extensive River Landscape With Figures Resting By A Fortification In The Foreground by Marc Baets for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,500.65). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marc Baets have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Villagers on a track in a river landscape in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 24,100.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An Extensive River Landscape With Figures Resting By A Fortification In The Foreground von Marc Baets für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.500,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Baets auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Villagers on a track in a river landscape im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 24.100,93).
