Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A wooded landscape, with figures on a bridge before a farmstead by Marc Baets was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in London in July 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,640.00 (€ 8,996.02). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marc Baets - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Villagers on a track in a river landscape, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 14,100.00 (€ 24,100.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A wooded landscape, with figures on a bridge before a farmstead von Marc Baets wurde im Juli 2002 in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.640,00 (€ 8.996,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marc Baets mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Villagers on a track in a river landscape beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für GBP 14.100,00 (€ 24.100,93) versteigert wurde.
