This artwork by Manal Al-Dowayan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2015. In the '1 in 11' Auction auction, the work The Choice Iv sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 20,682.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manal Al-Dowayan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suspended Together in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 329,000.00 (€ 249,848.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Manal Al-Dowayan erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion '1 in 11' Auction wurde die Arbeit The Choice Iv für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 20.682,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manal Al-Dowayan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suspended Together im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 329.000,00 (€ 249.848,12).
