Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in Doha held the auction Contemporary Art / Doha, which included the work A Hand Claps A Hand Waves Ii by Manal Al-Dowayan. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,638.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manal Al-Dowayan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suspended Together in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 329,000.00 (€ 249,848.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion Contemporary Art / Doha durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Hand Claps A Hand Waves Ii von Manal Al-Dowayan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.638,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manal Al-Dowayan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suspended Together im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 329.000,00 (€ 249.848,12).
