This artwork by Manal Al-Dowayan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work I Live And Die For The Moment (from the series And We Had No Shared Dreams) sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,346.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manal Al-Dowayan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Suspended Together in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 329,000.00 (€ 249,848.12).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Manal Al-Dowayan erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II wurde die Arbeit I Live And Die For The Moment (from the series And We Had No Shared Dreams) für USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.346,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manal Al-Dowayan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Suspended Together im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 329.000,00 (€ 249.848,12).
