Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2016 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work (i) I am a Saudi Citizen (ii) I am a Mother (iii) I am a Computer Scientist (iv) I am a Petroleum Engineer (v) I am a Writer (vi) I am a Doctor by Manal Al-Dowayan. Here, the upper estimate of USD 24,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 26,250.00 (€ 23,946.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manal Al-Dowayan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suspended Together in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 329,000.00 (€ 249,848.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit (i) I am a Saudi Citizen (ii) I am a Mother (iii) I am a Computer Scientist (iv) I am a Petroleum Engineer (v) I am a Writer (vi) I am a Doctor von Manal Al-Dowayan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 24.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 26.250,00 (€ 23.946,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manal Al-Dowayan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suspended Together im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 329.000,00 (€ 249.848,12).
