Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Manal Al-Dowayan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in March 2017. In the Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Look Beyond the Veil sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,931.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manal Al-Dowayan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suspended Together in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 329,000.00 (€ 249,848.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Manal Al-Dowayan erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Look Beyond the Veil für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.931,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manal Al-Dowayan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suspended Together im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 329.000,00 (€ 249.848,12).
