This work without title by Malcolm Morley was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 42,000.00 (€ 3,713.04), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Malcolm Morley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work SS Amsterdam in Front of Rotterdam in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,202,500.00 (€ 1,695,509.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Malcolm Morley wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 42.000,00 (€ 3.713,04) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Malcolm Morley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit SS Amsterdam in Front of Rotterdam im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.202.500,00 (€ 1.695.509,91).
