Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two studies and an illustrated letter (i-iii): by Malangatana Ngwenya was auctioned at Bonhams in London in August last year. The price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 1,032.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Malangatana Ngwenya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Matalana in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two studies and an illustrated letter (i-iii): von Malangatana Ngwenya kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 1.032,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Malangatana Ngwenya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Matalana im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03).
