Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre, 1986 by Malangatana Ngwenya was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,825.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Malangatana Ngwenya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Matalana in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre, 1986 von Malangatana Ngwenya kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.825,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Malangatana Ngwenya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Matalana im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03).
