Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two ink drawings: by Malangatana Ngwenya was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,423.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Malangatana Ngwenya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Matalana in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two ink drawings: von Malangatana Ngwenya kam im November 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.423,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Malangatana Ngwenya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Matalana im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03).
