The work Trabalho No Campo by Malangatana Ngwenya was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,703.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Malangatana Ngwenya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Matalana, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03).

Die Arbeit Trabalho No Campo von Malangatana Ngwenya kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.703,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Für andere Arbeiten von Malangatana Ngwenya mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Matalana beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03) versteigert wurde.
