In the Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art auction, the work Lakad Da'a Sha'iri Ala Babikom (My Poetry Was Lost at Your Door) sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,928.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Hammad - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps), which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55).
