Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Dad' (Letter D) by Mahmoud Hammad was auctioned at Sothebys in Doha in April 2015. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,356.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Hammad - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps), which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Dad' (Letter D) von Mahmoud Hammad kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Doha zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.356,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Hammad mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 94.772,55) versteigert wurde.
