Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work (I) Palestine Pavillion, Damascus International Fair (Study) (Ii) Palestine Pavillion, Damascus International Fair (Study); Alternative Left Panel by Mahmoud Hammad was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in March 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,533.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Hammad - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps), which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit (I) Palestine Pavillion, Damascus International Fair (Study) (Ii) Palestine Pavillion, Damascus International Fair (Study); Alternative Left Panel von Mahmoud Hammad kam im März 2016 bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.533,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Hammad mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 94.772,55) versteigert wurde.
