Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Law Of The Jungle by Mahmoud Hammad was auctioned at Sothebys in Dubai in June 2020. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,451.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahmoud Hammad achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps) in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.451,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Hammad erzielen.
